Craftsman Renovation in Long Beach

This Long Beach Craftsman got a top-to-bottom refresh from Elan Construction Inc. We kept the character that makes these homes special and brought the rest up to date, inside and out.

Exterior

Out front, the gabled porch with its columns and arched entry was cleaned up and repainted in blue with white trim and a red door. The rear two-story building was reworked by our crew from scaffolding, with updated siding, windows and garage doors. New concrete walks and a wood privacy fence finish the lot.

Living Spaces

Inside, wood floors run throughout. The living room keeps its original tiled fireplace with a dark wood mantel and matching wood trim on the doors and openings. New light fixtures, crown molding and fresh paint brighten every room, and the dining room opens to the kitchen through a built-in with glass doors.

Kitchen

The kitchen has white cabinets, dark countertops and a stainless refrigerator, set off the dining room.

Bathrooms and Laundry

The showers are tiled in white subway tile with a recessed niche, exposed shower fixtures and black penny tile floors. A tub has a glass panel and a herringbone tile floor. The laundry area got the same black penny tile.
