Manhattan Beach Home Addition: How We Build It
An addition is only as good as what's underneath it. These progress photos from a Manhattan Beach job show how our crew builds from the ground up.
Footings Come First
Footing forms set, with anchor bolts and hold-down rods in place before the pour.
We set forms, then place anchor bolts and hold-down rods so the new walls tie straight into the concrete.
Foundation Walls
Foundation wall forms running alongside the patio.
Forms go up straight and braced, working right next to the existing patio.
Framing the Addition
Our crew framing walls on the plywood deck.
Framing up, with rebar staged for the next step.
With the deck down, walls go up plumb and square, ready for the rest of the build.
